There has been heavy snowfall in Sri Hemkund Sahib.
The doors of Sri Hemkund Sahib located in Chamoli will be closed today i.e. on October 10 at 1 pm for the winter season. Till Wednesday, 2 lakh 71 thousand 367 devotees have visited Hemkund Sahib. The total number of visitors in 2024 was 1 lakh 83 thousand 722. This year

Sardar Seva Singh, manager of Gurudwara Govind Ghat, said that the entire Gurudwara has been specially decorated on the occasion of closing of the doors. Seva programs will also be organized during this period, in which band teams from Punjab and other places will also participate. Devotees from different states of India and also from abroad will arrive on this occasion.
Shri Badrinath Dham situated on the banks of Alaknanda River in Chamoli.
The doors of Shri Badrinath Dham will be closed on 25th November at 2:56 pm.
Apart from this, the doors of Baba Kedarnath Dham will be closed on the festival of Bhaiya Dooj on 23rd October. The doors of Yamunotri Dham will be closed for winter on 23rd October at 12.30 pm. The doors of Gangotri Dham will be closed as per law for 6 months of winter period on 22nd October on Annakoot festival in Abhijeet Muhurta at 11.36 am.
