In Himachal Pradesh, Ram Kumar Bindal, 75 year old brother of BJP President Dr. Rajeev Bindal, has been arrested by Solan Police in a rape case. The police called on the pretext of questioning and arrested Ram Kumar.

Confirming this, Solan SP Gaurav Singh said that a 25-year-old girl has filed a complaint with the police accusing Ram Kumar of raping her on the pretext of treatment.

- Went to Vaidya for treatment: In the complaint given to the police, the victim said that she was ill for a long time. On October 7, she went to Vaidya Ram Kumar Bindal near Solan bus stand for treatment. Vaidya asked where did you come from. After asking for the address, he made him sit for examination.
- He held his hand and started pressing his veins: The girl told that the man held her hand and started pressing her veins. After this he started asking about sexual problems. Told Vaidya the whole story about his illness. After this, Vaidya assured that he would fix it 100% and also showed a related book. After this he started examining it.
- Did wrong thing in the name of checking: The girl told that while checking, Vaidya said that the private part also has to be checked. For which he refused. But the accused did wrong things to her on the pretext of checking. On this she pushed him and came out.
Accused called for questioning, arrested After this the girl complained to the women police station, Solan. Police registered a case under sections 64 and 68 of BNS. Solan police called Ram Kumar Bindal for questioning on Friday morning and he was arrested.
The accused was associated with RSS Ram Kumar Bindal is a famous lawmaker of Solan. He has a shop named Balmukund & Firm near the old bus stand of Solan. His father has also been legal. The accused is also the head of Sanatan Dharma Mandir Trust. He has been associated with RSS for a long time.
What is Section 64 and 68, how much punishment is provided? Section 64 of BNS deals with the crime of rape, which has a provision of imprisonment ranging from 10 years to life and fine in normal cases. At the same time, Section 68 applies to those cases where a person in authority has sexual relations. It is not considered rape, but there is a provision of rigorous imprisonment of 5 to 10 years and fine.
