HRTC bus overturned at Sarkaghat, Mandi.
A bus from Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) fell into a 150 feet deep ditch in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh today (Thursday). 7 people died in the accident. 27 passengers are said to be injured. SP Mandi has confirmed this.

The dead include 4 women and 3 men. The injured were evacuated from the ditch to Sarkaghat Hospital with the help of local police and villagers. 3 seriously injured people have been referred to AIIMS Bilaspur.
It is being told that the HP-28-A-3717 number bus was going from Sarkaghat to Durgapur from Sarkaghat at around 9 am on Thursday and around 10 pm, the bus suddenly fell into the ditch near Maserran Talgara on Sarkaghat-Jamani-Durgapur road.

After the accident, there was a scream on the spot. The people present there informed the police about the accident and also got involved in relief and rescue work. According to the information so far, there were 30 to 35 passengers in the bus. The cause of the accident has not been ascertained. According to preliminary information, the accident occurred due to the driver losing control of the bus at a sharp turn.
SP Boli- 7 killed, 27 injured
SP Mandi Sakshi Verma said that 7 passengers were killed and 27 passengers were injured. Three seriously injured people have been referred to AIIMS Bilaspur.
MLA said- Neither ultrasound nor ambulance
Sarkaghat MLA Dalip Thakur reached Sarkaghat Hospital to know the condition of the injured. He said, the hospital has neither ultrasound nor ambulance facility. He will raise this issue in the assembly.

Chief Minister mourned 7 people in bus accident
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu mourned the death of 7 people in the Sarkaghat bus accident. 27 other people have been injured in this accident. The injured are being treated at Civil Hospital Sarkaghat and seriously injured persons have been sent to AIIMS Bilaspur. The Chief Minister directed the district administration mandi to provide ex -gratia amount to the families of the deceased soon.

On receiving the information of the accident, Deputy CM and Transport Minister Mukesh Agnihotri has left for Sarkaghat from Shimla. Before going to Sarkaghat, he came to know the condition of the injured admitted to AIIMS Bilaspur.
