The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of heavy rain in 6 districts Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Kangra, Una, Mandi and Sirmaur districts today. Chamba, Kullu and Shimla today have rain an orange alert.
In view of the conditions of heavy rains and the conditions of roads and streets, today’s holiday has been done in all educational institutions of Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan, Kangra, Mandi, Chamba, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Una and Kullu, Banjar, Manali and Kullu sub-divisions. Educational institutions will also be closed on 2 September in Kullu.
The next tomorrow (2 September) is also an orange alert in 4 districts Mandi, Chamba, Kullu and Kangra, Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Sirmaur and Orange Alerts in Shimla districts. In view of this, people have been asked to be vigilant.
