He said, all possible efforts will be made for the relief and rehabilitation of disaster affected people. He said, the rain caused heavy losses. 320 people have lost their lives in this monsoon season. Property worth more than 3 thousand crore rupees has been destroyed.
Earlier, the State Disaster Management Act was also implemented in the Korona period in the state.
What will the government be able to do?
- After the disaster state is declared, the government will be able to raise the budget for the relief and rehabilitation of the disaster affected by cutting the budget of MLA funds and government schemes.
- The government will be able to put new cess etc. to raise economic resources. With this, the government will be able to gather additional income. The state government also imposed Kovid cess during the Korona period.
- After being declared a state disaster, the center will also get additional help from the Center.
- After the implementation of the Disaster Management Act, the officers of the opportunity i.e. DC, ADM and SD etc. will be able to take decisions at their level for relief and rehabilitation of disaster affected people. For this, they will not have to get involved in the formalities of taking permission from the government and higher officials.
