Parliament on Tuesday passed a statutory resolution to extend the period of President’s rule in Manipur by six months. The proposal was passed in the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha last week on Tuesday. In the Rajya Sabha, the proposal was presented by Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai amidst the uproar of the opposition. The House accepted the legal resolution, stating that President’s rule would be extended for six months from August 13, 2025.

This year 48 passengers were added to the no fly list

According to the government, 48 passengers have been placed in the no-fly list till 30 July this year. Violation passengers may face long -term flight restrictions depending on the severity of their misconduct. Minister of State for Civil Aviation Muralidhar Mohol has informed the Rajya Sabha that 48 people have been kept in the no-fly list till 30 July this year. A total of 82 and 110 passengers were placed in this list in 2024 and 2023.
