Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has taken a big step before the election by implementing freebes to salary, pension and domicile policy.

In the last 60 days, the CM has made 10 big announcements, which will directly benefit about 55 million voters.
The Bihar government has tried to help women, youth, farmers and poor. There are currently 7.5 crore voters in the state. The final figures to be released on 30 September are likely to increase. Nitish Kumar is touching almost every family in some form or the other with his announcements.

Announcement-1: 125 units free electricity will be available
Since July, the government has announced to free 125 units of electricity of consumers with domestic connections of the state.
There are 2 crore 12 lakh electricity consumers in the state. Out of this, there are 1 crore 82 lakh domestic connections. This scheme of the government will directly benefit domestic connections.
The government claims that 1 crore 67 lakh people spend less than 125 units of electricity in a month. Therefore, they will directly benefit from it.
What does it mean- Before the election, the government has tried to directly benefit the poor and middle class family facing these bets.

Declaration-2: Domic policy implements for women
Initially, Nitish Kumar, who has refused to implement Domicile, has implemented Domicile for 35 per cent of the posts reserved for women. The government has also implemented it in all types of jobs.
There are about 35 million women voters in Bihar. He is considered to be the core voter of Nitish Kumar. Out of this, 30 percent i.e. about one crore voters are under 35 years of age.
What does it mean- In the budget this year, the government had announced to provide subsidy on the purchase of e-rickshaws to the marriage of pink toilets, pink bus, gym on wheels, women’s haats, poor girls, girls hostels, women for the convenience of women. Less educated women were directly benefiting from this.
Now before the election, the government has implemented the Domicile Policy keeping in mind the educated women. The government is strengthening its core voters with its stakes.

On August 8, Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar laid the foundation stone for building the temple of Mata Janaki at Punauradham in Sitamarhi. With this support, Nitish Kumar is also trying to resort to the politics of religion.
Declaration-3: Domicile applicable in teacher recruitment, 85% reservation will be benefited
In government schools, the candidates of Bihar will now get the benefit of 85% reservation in teacher reinstatement. The Bihar government has implemented a domicile policy to give big benefits to the original residents of the state in the teacher appointment process.
Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department, Dr. S. Siddharth said, ‘Under this new policy of the government, Biharis will now get more than 85% reservation in the restoration of teachers in government schools. It will be implemented from the TRE-4 examination to be held this year.
What does it mean- For a long time, the youth of Bihar have been demanding the implementation of the Domicile Policy. The government has implemented it before the election. It is believed that about 5 lakh youth will benefit from this.

Announcement-4: Social Security Pension increased
In the cabinet meeting on 24 June, the Nitish government increased the social security pension i.e. old age pension and disabled pension from Rs 400 to Rs 1100. Everyone started getting its benefits from the July pension.
This will benefit widow women, old people and disabled. Their number is about one crore 9 lakhs.
What does it mean- In the 2020 assembly elections, the elderly showed anger towards NDA. CSDS-Lokniti’s post poll survey stated that people above 60 years of age had voted 5 percent less to NDA.

On 21 June 2025, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made two major decisions related to Jeevika Didis and employees.
First- Jeevika Didis associated with self -help groups cut more than 3 lakh bank loans by 3 per cent. They will now have to pay only 7 percent interest. Earlier, 10% interest had to be paid on bank loans of more than Rs 3 lakh.
Second- Salary of livelihood employees double
The salary of all 1 lakh 40 thousand employees of Jeevika Self Help Group was doubled. In such a situation, the block employees will get a salary of up to 50 thousand and village employees up to 25 thousand rupees.
What does it mean- According to CM Nitish Kumar, about 1 crore 40 lakh Jeevika Didis have become self -sufficient from the Jeevika project, which started in 2006. They will directly benefit from the loan cuts cut.
Women from poor sections are generally associated with livelihood. The government’s decision will have a great impact on them.

Announcement-6: Asha-Mamta workers’ salary increased
On July 30, the government announced an increase in the money of Asha and Mamta workers. Now ‘Asha’ will get 3 thousand monthly instead of 1 thousand and ‘Mamta’ will get 600 rupees instead of 300 per delivery.
This will benefit 95 thousand ‘Asha’ and 4600 ‘Mamta’ workers. Also, the restoration of 29 thousand ASHA workers is still going on.
What does it mean- Asha and Mamta workers reach home. Their number is also fine. Increasing money will increase their morale and can reach the government’s words from house to house.

Announcement-7: Cook will now get 3300 rupees a month
More than 70 thousand government schools of Bihar have 2 lakh 38 thousand cooks and assistant cooks who cook food under mid -day meal. They were working on a very low honorarium at Rs 1650 monthly, but now the government has decided that they will be given Rs 3300 every month.
It is estimated that this will improve the standard of living of more than 1 million people.
Announcement-8: Increased honorarium of physical teachers and instructors
The government has increased the monthly honorarium of 8,386 physical teachers and health instructors working in state elementary schools of the state from Rs 8,000 to Rs 16,000 per month.
Announcement-9: School’s night guards also got encouragement
9,360 night guards working across the state are also employed. Those who handle the security of schools. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has also doubled his honorarium. They will now get Rs 10,000 per month instead of 5,000.
Announcement-10: 11,000 rupees for smartphones to Anganwadi servants
Anganwadi servants have been announced to provide financial assistance of Rs 11,000 to buy smartphones. This assistance amount will be transferred directly to their bank accounts. This will benefit 2 lakh 28 thousand Anganwadi servants.

Will all the equation of the grand alliance deteriorate

Supreme Court said-Freebies announced wrong during the election
The Supreme Court had made strict remarks on free schemes made at the time of elections 6 months ago. The court said, ‘People do not want to work, because you are giving them free ration. Giving them money without doing anything.
The court had asked the Center that instead of connecting these people with the mainstream of the society, are you not creating a group of parasites by implementing free schemes?
The bench had told the Center- ‘We understand your troubles and appreciate, but will it not be good that you make such people a part of the mainstream and make them part of the development of the country.’
