The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Punjab and Haryana. That is, these states may receive continuous rains for the next 36 hours. There will be rain in eight districts of Punjab, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Ferozepur.
