The Meteorological Department on Saturday issued rain orange in 12 states including Uttarakhand-Bihar and Yellow alert in 15 states. However, no red alert has been issued in any state.
The Meteorological Department has warned that West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Assam and Meghalaya may receive heavy to very heavy rains till 16 September. At the same time, in Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal and Uttarakhand, there will be a thunderstorm threatening with rain till 14 September.
Mayiladuthurai, Tamil Nadu, Dehradun in Uttarakhand received heavy rains on Friday. Himachal also has a rainy season, for the next two days, a yellow alert of heavy rain has been issued in four districts.
