The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Himachal from 23 to 26 August. A total of 347 roads including National Highway-305 (Aut-Sainge Road) are still closed due to landslide. Apart from this, 281 transformers and 145 water supply schemes have also been disrupted.
The state has suffered a loss of Rs 2282 crore till now. Apart from this, 149 people have died while 38 are missing. The state has received 17% more rainfall than normal.
