Russia will give India and S-400 defense system
Russian weapon agency director Dimitri Shugayev said on 3 September that India and Russia are talking about increasing the supply of the S-400 missile system despite the US pressure. India already has the S-400 missile system. Soon India may also take new SU-57 fighter aircraft from Russia. The conversation is still in the early stages. We want to move together in the defense sector between India and Russia.
In 2018, India made a deal to buy 5 squadron of S-400 from Russia for $ 5.5 billion. At that time also the US opposed India’s purchasing Russian missile. Russia has handed over 3 out of 5 squadrons to India. The remaining 2 squadrons will be found by 2027.
Air Force can get 2 Tejas Mark-1A in September
On July 15, the US assigned India a second GE-404 engine. This engine will be installed in Tejas fighter aircraft (LCA Mark 1A). It has been assigned to the government company HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) making Tejas. The Air Force can get 2 Tejas Mark-1A in September. According to Defense Ministry officials, HAL will get 12 such engines by the end of this year. They will be used in LCA Mark 1A fighter jets.
