Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi said in the All India Management Association program on Tuesday that self -sufficient India is also necessary for the army. At the time of the first struggle, where weapons with a 100 km range were needed, today there is a weapon with a range of 300 km.

He further said- the technology of our opponents is moving forward. We cannot always depend on foreign weapons. Trusting our ability and constantly strong can prepare us for future wars.

The army chief said on Operation Sindoor- Some people said that it was a four-day Test match. But you cannot say anything about war beforehand. We had no idea how many days the operation would last. War is always uncertain. When the Russia-Ukraine war started, no one had an idea that it would last so long. The Iran-Iraq war lasted almost 10 years.

New technology and future preparations continue The army chief insisted on induction of new technology weapons in the army in the coming time. He said- India wants to move from rifle to laser weapons in terms of arms. We are inducting tanks in the army that can operate without any person.

General Upendra Dwivedi said- There is also talk on the purchase of new helicopters for the army. I went abroad a few days ago in this regard. We are insisting on improving the lives of soldiers.

Army Chief had said- next war could happen soon

Earlier, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi feared a war with Pakistan on August 4 soon. He said at the inauguration ceremony of ‘Agnishodh’- Indian Army Research Cell (IARC) in IIT Madras- The next war could happen soon.
