A resident of Ferozepur, went to Pakistani border on 21 June The young man has been identified as Amritpal resident village Khaire’s Utad, District Ferozepur. Her father Jugraj told that Amritpal is married and has a daughter. He has about 8.5 acres of land, which is located across the prickly fence near the border outpost ‘Rana’ under the supervision of the Border Security Force (BSF). On June 21, he went to see his farm located near the Indo-Pak border, but did not return.
Pakistani Rangers informed about being in custody on 27 June When the border gate was about to close at 5 pm, Amritpal did not return. Later, BSF jawans found some footprints, which were going towards Pakistan, which further increased that he unknowingly crossed the border. On 27 June, Pakistani Rangers informed the BSF that Amritpal was in the custody of local police. After this, BSF informed Amritpal’s father Jugraj about the case.
One month was in custody, sentence sentenced on July 28 Father Jugraj said that there was a stir in the family as soon as the son was known to be in Pakistan. He then immediately committed a lawyer named Suhail in Pakistan. According to these papers, Amritpal has been accused under the Foreign Act 1946. Amritpal has been sentenced to one month on 28 July. A fine of one lakh rupees has also been imposed.
Family pleaded with Punjab government and Ministry of External Affairs Jugraj further said that this fine can be paid only when the Foreign Minister will send a letter to Pakistan that the Indian youth should be sent. He has requested the government for help that he cannot pay the fine. In such a situation, his boy will have to serve 15 days and jail sentence for not paying the fine. He appealed to the government to take necessary steps to return his son soon.
