Flight 6E 1089 from Indigo from Mumbai received a bomb threat on Friday. This threat was written on a letter from the toilet of the aircraft. After receiving the threat, an emergency landing of the aircraft was made in Chennai.

This Airbus A320 aircraft of Indigo left from Mumbai at 3:33 pm on Thursday. When the aircraft was flying over the Bay of Bengal, a letter of threat of bomb was found in the aircraft toilet. Immediate pilot diverted the flight to Chennai and at 7:16 pm the aircraft landed at Chennai Airport.

According to the protocol, the officials concerned were immediately informed. Necessary security checks of the aircraft will be conducted in Chennai. It has been decided to resume the journey late at night due to night curfew at Phuket Airport.
