The Vice Chancellor and his wife of Kalidas Sanskrit University in Maharashtra died in the accident in Mau, UP. On Saturday morning, he was going to Kushinagar from Varanasi in an Innova car. He napped near Dohghat.
This caused the Innova uncontrollable and entered the trailer standing on the roadside from behind. The Vice Chancellor and his wife died on the spot, while the driver sitting behind was seriously injured. After the accident, the body of husband and wife remained in the car for a long time. On regaining consciousness, the driver called and informed the police about the accident.
Police cut the gate of the car and took out both bodies and the injured youth. The accident was so terrible that both of them did not die even after the airbag opened. The car was badly damaged.
The accident occurred near the Ahirani elderly petrol pump of Dohighat on Varanasi-Gorakhpur Highway (NH-29). Police investigation has revealed that the driver was feeling sleepy, so the vice -chancellor himself was driving the car. His wife was sitting next to, while the driver was sleeping on the back seat.

Hareram Tiwari (58) Poet Kulguru Kalidas was the Vice Chancellor of Sanskrit University, Ramtek (Maharashtra). He was a resident of Kushinagar district. On Saturday morning, he was going from Varanasi to Kushinagar with his wife Badami Devi (52) and driver Vaibhav Mishra (28).
Driver Vaibhav told- I had reached Mau, when I started to nap. On this, the Vice Chancellor said that you sit back and sleep for a while, I will drive for a while. After this, I went to the back seat and slept. Shortly after, the car collided in the trailer standing on the road.
The Vice Chancellor’s wife fell into the car due to non -seat belt, killing him.
The driver said- I informed the police when I regained consciousness
Dravar said- The accident was so fast that even after the airbag opened, the Vice Chancellor stuck with the steering. His wife did not put a seat belt, due to which she fell down from the seat and died. I also fainted after the accident. On regaining consciousness, I saw that I was also badly trapped in the car.
The Vice Chancellor and his wife had died. After this, I called and informed the police. After a while the police arrived and cut the gate of the Innova car and took out us. ASP Anoop Kumar said- The family of the Vice Chancellor has not arrived yet. No Tahrir has been found in this case yet. After Tahrir, action will be taken against the driver of the trailer.
Vice Chancellor and his wife were going to their home from Banaras to Kushinagar
Vice Chancellor Hareram Tiwari was the only son. They have 6 children- three sons and three daughters. Elder son Rajan (36) is a software engineer. The middle son Vinay (32) is a professor, while the youngest son Gopal (28) has been on the bed rest for the last 10 years and lived with the Vice Chancellor. At the same time, elder daughter Vandana (34) is married. The remaining two daughters Punita (26) and Archana (20) are studying.
