The Assembly Secretariat has started the process on the pension application of Dhankar. He will start getting the pension of the MLA before the date of approval from the post of Vice President.

Former MLA’s pension stops as soon as he goes to a government post As soon as the term of the MLA is completed, the pension of the former MLA is started. If the former MLA is nominated to any government post or becomes a minister, then the Assembly Secretariat is informed in its fixed format. After this the pension stops.
After the completion of the term from the government post, the Assembly Secretariat has to apply in the prescribed format and give information. After this, the pension starts again. Jagdeep Dhankhar has also applied under the same process.
Dhankhar will get pension of former Vice President, former MP, former MLA Jagdeep Dhankhar will get the pension of three types (former Vice President, former MP, former MLA). The former governor does not get pension. Therefore, Dhankhar will also not get pension as a former Governor.
Former MLA gets pension of 35 thousand rupees The former MLA gets a pension of 35 thousand rupees a month. Pension increases according to every term. The number of times after five years, he gets additional pension by adding Rs 1600 per month in every term after 5 years.
One -time MLA gets a pension of 35 thousand, two -time MLA 42 thousand, three -time MLA gets a pension of 50 thousand rupees. If the former MLA has taken over the age of 70 years, then the pension increases by 20 percent.
Dhankhar will get a pension of 42 thousand rupees as former MLA Dhankhar has been an MLA once. He is 75 years old. In such a situation, they will get 20 percent more pension. They will get pension by adding 20 percent in 35 thousand per month. This pension is 42 thousand rupees.
Dhankar will get around 2.73 lakhs every month in three pension Dhankhar will get a pension of about 2 lakh rupees a month as former Vice President. 42 thousand rupees as former MLA and 31 thousand rupees as former MP will get a pension of every month. In this way, they will get 2 lakh 73 thousand rupees every month by mixing all three pension.

The new Vice President will be elected on 9 September. So before this, Dhankar has to shift to the new residence.

According to the protocol, the government has allotted type 8 bungalows in Delhi. Shifting may take three to four months. Dhankar has been allotted a government bungalow on former President APJ Abdul Kalam Marg.
Right now a Union Minister lives in that bungalow. They will vacate this house, then it will be renovated. In such a situation, it will take some time to prepare the bungalow. A temporary housing is being searched by the department so that Dhankar can be shifted there before the arrival of the new Vice President. Other options are also open.
The former Vice President can also be given a residence up to 2000 square yards. It can happen anywhere in Delhi or elsewhere.
