Ayub Khan is the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and his wife is a councilor from Basti. He was in BJP until a year ago. The BJP made him in -charge of the Muslim wing in Punjab, and it was appointed by BJP’s minority front state head Thomas Christ. Ayub Khan has also lived in Congress and Akali Dal.

- Muslim side cleaning: All India Ulema Chairman Akbar Ali said- “The slogan was inflammatory, but the dispute was resolved. The key was returned, no assault, nor threatened. These allegations are completely wrong. After this, people from the Muslim side left the spot.”

BJP leader again reached KD, adamant on FIR
- Decision to sit in BMC Chowk: Senior BJP leader and former MLA KD Bhandari also reached the dharna running outside the Police Commissionerate and DC office. As soon as he came, he said that hooliganism will not work in Punjab. The police is pushing. Hindu leaders will sit here till the FIR is not registered. During this time DCP Dogra reached the spot and explained to all the leaders including KD Bhandari, but they were adamant on the FIR.
- Jai Shri Ram Jaighosh, After the FIR was not registered, BJP leaders sitting on a dharna outside the DC office staged a sit -in at BMC Chowk (now Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Chowk). The police tried to stop him here, but BJP leaders and people of Hindu organizations rapidly left for BMC Chowk and staged a sit -in. Prior to the dharna, Hindu leaders chased Jai Shri Ram and announced to protest till the FIR was not registered.

Traffic diverted before police strikes As soon as the police came to know that now BJP leaders would sit on BMC Chowk, then the police started running. The BJP reached BMC Chowk before the BJP leaders and the people of the Hindu organization running up to the Lady Constable. Here the first vehicles were stopped from hand gestures and did it on one side. Shortly thereafter barricading was done. Long queues of vehicles were seen here from the offices, but the police opened the lanes towards MBD goods and took out the vehicles.

On the dispute registered by Bai Name FIR at around eight and a half, DCP Naresh Dogra said, “A case has been registered against Muslim leaders Ayub Khan, Namin Khan and 2 others on the basis of complaint. A case has been registered against them under sections of abusing, forcing, threatening and hurting religious sentiments.
“After this, Hindu organizations, while giving an ultimatum till 11 am on Saturday morning, announced to end the dharna after the arrest of the accused. Hindu organizations said that we will meet it tomorrow morning. If action is not taken, all the organizations will gather at Shri Ram Chowk.

- Some people forcibly surrounded me: Yogesh Kumar has given a complaint at the new Baradari police station. Its copy states that he was going from private work at around 4 pm on 3 October. On the way near the main post office, some people of the Muslim community stopped me by making noise on the road and did not let me go.
- Forced pressure made to raise the slogan of Alla Hu Akbar: Yogesh said in the complaint that these people forcefully asked me to raise the slogan of “Alla Hu Akbar”. When I raised the slogan of “Jai Shri Ram”, they started shouting slogans like “Head will separate your body” and attacked me in a fatal attack. The attackers took out the key of my scooty and said that here will not have to say “Jai Shri Ram”, but only “Allah Hu Akbar”.
