The central government is building such a smart dashboard, on which it will be seen in which sector will have how many jobs and what skills will be needed. The dashboard will be built on the lines of Britain’s ‘Job and Skill Dashboard’ and America’s Washington State’s ‘Labor Market and Crudemental Data Dashboard’.
The Union Ministry of Education recently made initial consultation with the Department of Telecom and IT. In this, the departments told- Next, how many professionals will be needed in sector like 5G, 6G, quantum communication, satellite, AI, Internet of Things, Machine Learning and Semiconductor.
The new dashboard will help students and parents choose the right course. After completing studies, information will be available about further opportunities.
Institutions will know what changes are necessary in syllabus, which new courses to start and which courses to close. The dashboard will prove to be a gamechanger in preparing a job-Reddy talent.
Right now many portal-dashboards in the country
- Labor Bureau Dashboard: Statistics related to wages and employment, but most previous data.
- Periodic Labor Force Survey: Gives employment-circulation data in states and districts. Data based on annual and quarterly updates.
- Bharat Skills Portal, Skill India Digital Hub: ITI gives information about skill training.
- Aseem Portal: Job-mating platform connecting skilled workers and employers. Demand on this is the initial attempt to estimate the need for the future.
Such is the dashboard in America and Britain
America: Dashboard Employment Security Department and Washington STEM run in Washington. Labor takes data from Bureau of Bureau of Statistics and Education. In May 2025, the job opening rate (job opening rate) was recorded at 3.7%.
Britain: The portal runs the Ministry of Education. National Statistics Office data shows how much job and average salary is in which sector? Between June and August 2025, 7.28 lakh vacancies were recorded here.
Central government churning, challenge: bringing one place It is a challenge to bring different ministries and private sector data to a platform. Will take help of AI and technology. Institutions like AICTE, UGC and NCVET will play an important role.
