Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar on Saturday strongly rejected the news of becoming the Chief Minister. He said that some people and media are trying to spread confusion, whereas their priority is only to work for the party. Shivkumar said in Lalbagh-

Deputy CM said- ‘Some media people are spreading confusion. I know when my time will come. My time will be when I form the Congress government again in Karnataka in 2028. This is my goal.

Expressing displeasure, the Congress leader said, ‘If someone is spreading falsehood or any channel is trying to mislead, then I will have to file a defamation case against you (media). I am fully conscious.

DK said- CM and I are working together

He said- ‘I know what opportunity God has given me and when he will give me that opportunity. I want to serve the people of my state and give good governance to the people of Bengaluru. With this intention I am working from morning till evening.

Shivkumar said, ‘We do not need to react to BJP’s words. No one should comment on the post of CM. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and I are working together and following the guidelines of the party high command.

A few days ago, Shivakumar had warned party leaders not to make public statements on issues like change in the post of Chief Minister or shared tenure (post sharing). He met Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) working president G.C. Chandrashekhar has been instructed to issue notice to the leaders who speak on this issue.
