There was a robbery of about 21 crores in the SBI branch of Vijaypura, Karnataka. This includes 1.04 crore cash and 20 kg gold worth about 20 crore. On Tuesday evening, 5 armed robbers escaped after robbing the bank.

Robbers came wearing an army -like uniform
According to the police, the robbers came wearing an army -like dress and masks. Three people entered the bank and two stood outside. He tied hands and feet by holding bank manager, cashier and employees hostage.
After this, the robbers filled the cash and gold bag and escaped by locking the bank from outside. Bullets were also fired during the incident. During this time the bank was closed for customers and the guard was on leave.
53 crore rupees were looted in Vijaypura in May also
Earlier on May 25, gold worth Rs 53 crore and Rs 5.20 lakh in cash was looted in Canara Bank branch of Mangaguli village in Vijaypura district. 15 accused were caught in that case. This is the second major bank robbery in the district in four months.
