51-year-old Ayyappan was found hanging from the noose in his parents’ house in Mayilam village.
Vijay said- Take revenge from me, not from my people
Actor Vijay Thalpati released a video on Tuesday, 2 days after the stampede. In this, Vijay said, “Are CM Stalin trying to take revenge. We did not do anything wrong. If you want to take revenge, I will meet at home or in the office. My party officials have been arrested by the police. I appeal to the CM not to harm my party officials.”
Vijay said, “Soon, every truth will be revealed. I am sorry for this incident. We are on a political journey. We will move forward with strength and courage.”
2 activists of TVK in 14 days judicial custody

The Tamil Nadu police have arrested 3 people so far in the Karur stampede case. These include TVK District Secretary VP Mathiyalgan and officer Paunraj and a YouTuber.
On Tuesday, the court sent Paunraj and Mathiyalgan to 14 days judicial custody. Paunraj is accused of giving shelter to Mathiyalgan, the main accused in the stampede case.
YouTuber and journalist Felix Gerald were arrested on 30 September. Gerald is accused of spreading rumors.
