August 9: Security forces raided the hideouts of terrorist operatives in Pakistan in Kishtwar.
On Wednesday morning near LoC in Uri sector of North Kashmir, security forces thwarted the infiltration of terrorists. A soldier has been martyred during the operation. Security forces have conducted a search operation in the entire area. This is the third army encounter with terrorists in the last 13 days.
Earlier on August 10, security forces conducted a search operation after the army was reported to be hiding to the army in the Dul area of Kishtwar. During this time the terrorists fired on the army. Searching continues here too.
Since August 1, search is going on in search of terrorists in Akhhal forests of Kulgam. Two soldiers have been martyred here, 9 soldiers are injured. Two terrorists have also been killed.
On the morning of 2 August, security forces killed Haris Nazir Dar of terrorist Pulwama. He was a C-category terrorist. Haris was in the list of 14 local terrorists whose names were released by intelligence agencies on 26 April after the Pahalgam attack.
August 1: Terrorists fired during search operation
An official had said that a search operation was started on the evening of 1 August after receiving secret information about terrorist activity in the area. During this time the terrorists started firing on security forces.
After this the encounter started. The figure of how many terrorists are hidden in the forest is not clear.
On July 28, security forces killed 3 terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack in the forests of Lidwas, under Operation Mahadev. On 31 July, two more terrorists were killed during the Loc in Poonch during the infiltration.
The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army had informed about the death of a terrorist on the morning of 2 August.
7 killed in 14 local terrorists, now searching 7
Of the 14 terrorists who had released the list of security forces, 7 have been killed so far. Except Haris Nazir, the remaining 6 terrorists in May Shopian and Pulwama were killed during an encounter.
The names of the terrorists who were piled on 13 May in Shopian were Shahid Kutte, Adnan Shafi, Ahsan ul Haq Sheikh. On May 15, Aamir Nazir Wani, Yawar Ahmed Bhat and Asif Ahmed Sheikh were killed in the Pulwama encounter.
On July 28, 3 terrorists, including the mastermind of the Pahalgam attack, killed Union Home Minister Amit Shah informed about Operation Mahadev’s next day, on July 29, the death of the terrorists of Pahalgam attack. He said that he was killed on 28 July. His names are Suleman, Afghan and Gibran. All three terrorists were involved in the Pahalgam attack.
Shah said, ‘Pakistani voter ID-chocolate identified the terrorists of Pahalgam. Planning on the day of the attack, tracked 3 months and then surrounded and killed. We also have evidence of this. He said that 2 accused who helped the terrorists have also been arrested. Read full news …
