The CBI has alleged that ‘the lands given to the Lalu family by the people of the people who got a job in the railway, the lands were recorded at the circle rate, while the market rate was four to six times more than the circle rate.’
‘That is, the value of the land was deliberately shown to be less and the name of the Lalu family at a low price.
The CBI has also mentioned some cases in its charge sheet where the accused have claimed to sell their land at a circle rate of Rs 3.75 lakh to the Lalu family, especially his wife Rabri Devi (former Chief Minister of Bihar). According to the CBI, the prevailing circle rate of that plot in 2008 was 4.21 lakh.

Conspiracy hatched between 2004 and 2009
The CBI says that the entire conspiracy was hatched between 2004 and 2009 when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the railway minister of the country. The investigating agency said that during this period, the land was transferred before giving jobs in almost all cases and a gift deed was prepared in most.
The CBI has also claimed in the charge sheet that ‘When Lalu Yadav was a railway minister, his close Bhalla Yadav went to the village and said that in lieu of getting a job to his families, give his land to Lalu family. All the accused who wrote the land in the name of the Lalu family have claimed that they were paid in cash from the Lalu family.

Lalu’s daughters also accused
The CBI has accused not only Lalu and his sons, but also their daughters in this case. Especially in the charge sheet against MPs Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav, there are allegations that they too were transferred at the price of name.
