The person from Indore filed a petition On August 18, Petitioner Darpan Awasthi, a resident of Indore, filed a PIL in the High Court through the lawyer famous Shastri. The petition raised the question that when common devotees are not allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum, why are the leaders, their families, traders and influential people being provided this facility?
In the hearing held on Thursday, the court reserved the order after hearing the plea of the petitioner, which was pronounced on Monday. The court said that the arrangement currently in the temple should be maintained as it is at present.
Lawyer said- will file review petition
Advocate famous Shastri said that after the court order, he will file a review petition in a day or two. He said, this is a matter of millions of Mahakal devotees, we will again put our point before the court. In the petition, the state government, Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee, Ujjain Collector and SP Ujjain have been made parties.
In the hearing on Thursday, Advocate Shastri argued that common devotees from far and wide are not given admission in the sanctum sanctorum, while influential people get special permission. This system is discriminatory and unfair.
According to the court’s decision, until no new order comes, the entry system in the sanctum sanctorum will remain undone, that is, the common devotees will not be able to enter the sanctum sanctorum and this right will be based only on the discretion of the collector.
