Several big leaders of the party including Abhishek Banerjee attended the foot march of CM Mamta Banerjee.
West Bangal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday took out a protest march against the alleged harassment of Bengali speakers in BJP ruled states.
The rally started from the college square in Kolkata and went to Dorina Crossing in Dharmatla. Many big leaders of the party including Abhishek Banerjee attended this rally. About 1,500 policemen were deployed for this March about three kilometers long and traffic was diverted on several roads.

Mamta took out a foot march in Kolkata amid rain.
Mamta said- I will speak more and more Bangla from now CM Mamta said that I am ashamed and disappointed with the BJP’s attitude towards Bengalis. I have decided to speak more than now in Bangla, now if possible, then close me in custody camps.
TMC says that people speaking Bengali are being harassed by calling illegal migrants. The party is angry at the incidents of arrest of Bengali laborers in Odisha, eviction campaign in Delhi and a farmer in Cooch Behar, Assam.
TMC performance across the state Apart from Kolkata, the party also protested on the same issue in all the district headquarters of the state. This is happening at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to visit the state on Thursday.
