West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that she will not let anyone snatch the franchise of the people. The BJP is spreading linguistic terror on Bengalis. Banerjee claimed that the BJP has sent more than 500 teams from other states to Bengal for the survey being conducted with the aim of removing the names of voters from the waiter list.
Mamta said- but as long as I am alive, I will not let anyone snatch the franchise. Check yourself whether your name is still in the list. Mamta was speaking on the foundation day of the Trinamool Students Council (TMCP) in Kolkata.
The West Bengal CM accused the Election Commission of threatening the state government officials. But its jurisdiction is only for three months during the election, not for the whole year.
Mamta asked- how did the national anthem become a national anthem, if not only a Bengali language
Banerjee alleged that the BJP is trying to forget the role of Bengalis in the independence movement. Mamta said- “If there is no Bengali language, then in which language the national anthem and national anthem are written? They want people to forget the historical role of Bengalis in the freedom movement. We will not tolerate this linguistic terror. Their ancestors were the British agents who promised to get out of jails.
