Manoj Jarange is going on hunger strike at Azad Maidan in South Mumbai since August 29.
The Maratha reservation movement under the leadership of Manoj Jarang in Maharashtra was heard in the Bombay High Court on Monday. The High Court reprimanded the agitators and ordered that all the roads of Mumbai be vacated by tomorrow afternoon except Azad Maidan.
A bench of Justice Ravindra Ghoga and Justice Gautam Ankhadar said the protests are not peaceful. The High Court building has been surrounded. The entry gates of judges and lawyers are closed. Today, the High Court judges were stopped from coming to court by stopping the cars. The bench said-

The city of Mumbai is almost stalled. There is a need to restore the life of the common man. The city cannot be stopped. Ganesh is also a festival. The roads should be evacuated by 4 pm tomorrow.
The court said that the Maharashtra government can give the agitators another place in Navi Mumbai. If more agitators try to come to Mumbai, the state government should take appropriate steps and stop them.
Actually, Manoj Jarange is going on hunger strike at Azad Maidan in South Mumbai since August 29. They are demanding 10 percent reservation to the Maratha community in government jobs and education under the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category. Supporters claim that they have stopped drinking water since Monday.

The court said- what action was taken by the government till tomorrow
The court ordered the state government to remove the agitators from CST, Marine Drive, Flora Fountain and other areas of South Mumbai. The court said that the state government should explain whether the action was taken.
Government lawyer Virendra Saraf told the court that permission to protest at Azad Maidan was given only till 29 August. Jarange and his supporters have violated every rule.
The bench said that Jarang was assured to the police that it would follow all the conditions prescribed in the public meeting, agitation and protest rules, only “showy”.
