Congress MP Shashi Tharoor appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s reply to US President Donald Trump amid a growing controversy over tariffs in Indo-US. Tharoor told the news agency ANI in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala- I welcome this new tone with a precaution.
Tharoor said- Prime Minister Modi immediately reacted and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also emphasized the importance of basic relations, which is a broad global strategic partnership. The message given by both of them is very important for us. I welcome this new tone.
The Congress MP further said- I do not think we can forget 50% tariff or the insults done by the President and his staff. Trump’s nature is quite fickle, and whatever he has said has hurt our country. The country has been insulted.
