Kohima, Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar, Aizawl, Gangtok, Itanagar and Mumbai are the safest cities for women in the country. At the same time, Patna, Jaipur, Faridabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Srinagar and Ranchi are among the least safe cities for women.
This information has been revealed in the National Annual Report and Index on Women Safety (NARI) 2025. The report said that women in Kohima and other safest cities found more equality, civil participation, better police system and favorable structure for women.
At the same time, women’s safety situation is poor due to weakening institutional reaction in cities like Patna and Jaipur, Patriyark (Pitra ruling) thinking and urban structure.
The survey was conducted on a survey of 12 thousand 770 women in 31 cities. The report was released on Thursday. In this, the National Security Score is described as 65%. Cities are placed in different categories based on this score.
