Under Operation Sindoor, India attacked 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan on 22 April. More than 100 terrorists were killed in it.
On Thursday, the government responded to the questions of Operation Sindoor and Ceasefire for the first time in Parliament. Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh said in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha- Operation Sindoor started in response to a brutal terror attack by Pakistan sponsored terrorists.
Kirti Vardhan Singh further said- On May 7, under Operation Sindoor, India destroyed 9 terrorist bases of Pakistan. PAK then tried to target Indian military bases and citizens, but a strong reply was given. The Pakistani army caused heavy damage.
On the question of ceasefire, he said- On May 10, Pakistan’s Military Operation Director General (DGMO) contacted the Indian counterpart and requested to stop firing and military activities. Later on the same day, the ceasefire agreed.

It raises its concerns with other partners including the US. India has a clear attitude that the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are integral, and will always be in India. Anti -terrorism cooperation between India and America is a strong pillar. The two countries take necessary steps to eliminate terrorism from time to time.
