The special cell of the police on Wednesday arrested the Nepali citizen supplying the SIM card to ISI.

The Special Cell of Delhi Police on Wednesday arrested the Nepali citizen for supplying SIM card to Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. Police said, ‘Accused Prabhat Kumar Chaurasia was arrested from Laxmi Nagar in Delhi.

Police said that the accused bought 16 SIMs from Latur in Maharashtra and brought him to Nepal. 11 cards were traced from here in Lahore and Bahawalpur in Pakistan. WhatsApp accounts operating from these numbers were being used in anti -India activities.

Bahawalpur is a stronghold of Jaish-e-Mohammed, where India recently carried out attacks in Operation Sindoor. Chaurasia was approached by ISI in 2024 through a Nepali middleman. ISI had lured her a US visa.

The accused is an ITI graduate educated in Motihari, Bihar. He first worked in a pharmaceutical company, then opened a logistics company in Kathmandu which was closed.

Second case of supplying SIM card to ISI in 6 months

34 -year -old Kasim Indian SIM card from Bharatpur, Rajasthan, was arrested by Delhi Police on 29 May 2025 for selling Pakistani agents. Qasim visited Pakistan in August 2024 and March 2025. During this time he stayed there for 90 days.

Qasim took espionage training at Lahore’s military base. His elder brother Haseen was also associated with ISI 15 years ago. Haseen was also sending a sim card to Pakistan for the last 4-5 years. It was also arrested by Delhi Police in late May 2025.
