Three terrorists were killed by security forces in an encounter on 28 July.

Three terrorists killed on 28 July in Operation Mahadev were not local, but Pakistanis. This has been confirmed by security agencies on the basis of evidence. The 6 evidence from the terrorist and the encounter site has made it clear that they were from Pakistan.

Security forces from the encounter site found other evidence including Pakistani voter ID from the terrorists. The security agency matched these evidences at Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

Voter ID found as evidence, biometric records have been matched by the details released by the Government of Pakistan. These include satellite phones and GPS data. The official said- These evidence proves the Pakistani citizenship of the terrorists.

Three Pakistani militants were killed in an encounter with security forces on July 28 in Harwan area near Dachigam National Park in Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir. These included Hashim Musa, the main accused in the Pahalgam attack.

The army took this action under Operation Mahadev. The remaining two terrorists were identified as Jibran and Hamza Afghani. Jibran was involved in the attack on the 2024 Sonamarg tunnel project. American M4 Carbine, AK-47, 17 rifles and grenades have been found from the terrorists. Some more suspected goods have also been recovered.
