PM Modi addressed Bhupen Hazarika’s birth centenary program in Guwahati on Saturday.

PM Narendra Modi is on a two -day tour of Assam. Today, on the second day of the tour, Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth around Rs 19000 crore. Modi will visit Mangaldoi and Numaligarh Refinery located in Golaghat district in Darrang district.

The PM will inaugurate the Bio Athanol plant costing more than Rs 5000 crore in Numaligarh. Apart from this, Petro will also lay the foundation stone of the Petro Fluidized Catalitic Cracker Unit costing more than Rs 7000 crore. They will hold a public meeting at both places.

CM Himant Biswa Sarma said that a corridor of neem plants has been prepared in Numaligarh. Modi will pass through this 2.6 km long Neem Corridor. Sarma shared its video clip.

PM Modi reached Guwahati on a two -day visit to Assam on Saturday. He attended a special tribute meeting of the great singer Bhupen Hazarika at the veterinary ground located in Khanpara area here.

Projects in Darang

  • Foundation stone of Darang Medical College and Hospital, GNM School and BSc Nursing College. This will strengthen the field of medical education and healthcare.
  • The Guwahati Ring Road Project and the Brahmaputra River will lay the foundation of the Kuruva-Nargi Bridge. This will reduce traffic and improve contact in Guwahati and surrounding areas.

Projects in Golaghat (Numaligarh)

  • Assam will inaugurate the bio ethanol plant. This plant will promote clean energy and reduce dependence on petrol and diesel.
  • The foundation of the Polypropylene plant will be laid at the Numaligarh Refinery. This will provide new jobs and strengthen the economy of Assam.

PM Neem Corridor is an initiative under the leadership of Khumtai (Golaghat district) MLA Mrinal Saikia. Saikia said that this initiative is a step towards spreading awareness about environmental protection and encouraging the youth towards it.

PM Modi on Saturday released a book and a memorial coin of 100 rupees on the great singer at the birth centenary celebrations of the music world veteran Bhupen Hazarika.

The PM said that Bharat Ratna honored Hazarika’s songs unite India and provide energy to people. It is an honor for the entire Northeast to provide Bharat Ratna.
