Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to launch two big schemes for the agriculture sector today. A total of Rs 35,440 crore will be spent on these schemes. The program will begin at 10:30 am at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Delhi.
Modi will interact with farmers and address public meetings. PM will inaugurate Pulses Production Mission Scheme of Rs 11,440 crore, PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana of Rs 24,000 crore.
Apart from this, the foundation stone of Integrated Cold Chain and Value Addition facilities in Andhra Pradesh, Trout Fisheries in Uttarakhand, Integrated Aqua Park in Nagaland, Smart Fishing Harbor in Puducherry and Advanced Aqua Park in Hirakud, Odisha, to be built at a cost of Rs 815 crore, will be laid.
The objective of PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana is to make farming modern and profitable. This scheme will be started in 100 districts. At the same time, the aim of the Pulses Production Mission is to reduce the dependence on imports by increasing pulses production in the country.

- Improving procurement, storage and processing of pulses
- Measures will be taken to reduce losses

PM will distribute certificates to farmers
During the program, Modi will distribute certificates to the farmers certified under the National Mission for Natural Farming. Apart from this, certificates of institutions converted into MAITRI Technician (Multipurpose AI Technician of Rural India), Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samridhi Kendra and Common Service Center (CSC) will also be distributed to the farmers.
The program will also highlight the government’s achievements, including membership of 50 lakh farmers in 10,000 farmer producer organizations (FPOs). Of these, 1100 FPOs achieved annual turnover of more than Rs 1 crore in 2024-25.
