PM Modi took a dig at animal lovers amidst controversy over stray dogs across the country. He said during a program at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi on 12 September that I met some animal lovers recently. There are many such animal lovers in our country and the specialty is that they do not consider cow as animal.
On the talk of PM, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who was present in the program, started laughing with laughter. The Prime Minister also started smiling and he asked people- why, you laughed? The video of the entire incident is now going viral on social media.
In fact, on August 11, the Supreme Court, in one of its orders, ordered all stray dogs from Delhi-NCR residential areas to be removed in 8 weeks and sending them to the shelter home forever. This order was opposed by dog lovers across the country from roads to social media.
On August 22, the Supreme Court overturned its order. The court, amending the verdict, ordered all stray dogs to be left back after sterilization and vaccine, except for aggressive or crazy dogs, from where they were caught.
