Minister Mohol said that there has been heavy loss due to floods in many states of the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has instructed all Union ministers to visit flood affected areas and take stock of the situation. He said that floods in many areas of Punjab have suffered serious damage to houses, crops and animal husbandry.
Union Minister asked-PM request to increase relief package
He informed that the central government has already released a relief package of Rs 1600 crore. If this amount is not enough for the flood victims, they will request the Prime Minister to further increase the package. Minister Mohol assured that the central government is committed to all possible help to the people of all flood affected areas of the country including Punjab and there will be no shortage of relief and rehabilitation work.
