3 major reasons, which became the cause of the accident ….
- Gas theft from gas plants coming out: On the condition of anonymity, some villagers told the Bhaskar team that there is a gas plant just 450 meters from the place of accident. Trucks and tankers come out from here. It is alleged that gas is illegally extracted from the tanker on the day of this narrow street. A complaint was made to the police and administration several times, but the action was never taken. If action was taken, there would not have been such a big accident today. However, after the accident, the police also raided two areas around the village.
- Illegal cut on National Highway: According to the villagers, the area in which this accident happened is situated on the Mandiana village National Highway. The road is not four-lane, but still vehicles leave very fast. At some places the said highway is the same lane. Despite being two lanes, dozens of illegal cuts have been made on the highway. The cut on which this accident happened was also illegally built. Because where government cuts are made, it is maintained well. However, this cut was made by removing the pavement. On Friday night, the LPG tanker suddenly turned from this cut and hit the pickup car coming from the front. The collision was so strong that the gas started leaking on seeing it and in a short time there was a blast.
- Hidden danger in darkness, street lights closed: The villagers told the team that street lights on the highway have been closed for a long time. It becomes very dangerous to pass through the highway at night. The light of high speed vehicles suddenly falls on the eyes and the vehicle coming from the front is not clearly visible. It was also said that if there was a light on the road, the pickup driver would have got an idea of turning the tanker in time and the collision could have been postponed. Also, there was no such mark on the tanker to know that the tanker is standing in front.
