Last night, senior Congress leader and former MLA from Atma Nagar seat, Simarjit Singh Bains, was fired in Ludhiana, Punjab. The incident occurred in the area of police station Dahls when Bains was leaving the car from his farmhouse.

According to sources, Bains was having a dispute with his elder brother Paramjit Singh Bains. Due to this dispute, Paramjit’s son Jagjot opened fire on him. Three rounds of firing took place in the incident, one of which hit the tire of the bullet. Thankfully, Simarjit Singh Bains was not hurt in this incident.
Police reached Bains and his brother’s farmhouse at around 3:30 pm on Saturday afternoon. The farmhouses of both are nearby. The police questioned the two brothers for about 3 hours. However, when ACP Harjinder came out after interrogation, he did not answer any media questions.
When the media asked if there was firing on Bains, ACP Harjinder just said- ‘Talk to ADCP-2’ and left from there.

ADCP-2 said- family denied When ADCP-2 Karanvir was talked about on this matter, he said,
We were reported to be shot. When our officials reached the spot, Simarjit Singh Bains and his family refused to shoot. At present, no complaint has been received from any party. If a complaint is filed, legal action will be taken.
At the same time, SHO Sukhjinder of police station dahls also told that no party has given a formal complaint yet. Police will take action only after receiving the complaint.
Silence in family, high command active When the media tried to talk to the family after the incident, no one said anything. Journalists are not being allowed to go inside the farmhouse, nor is the family sharing any kind of information. After the police left the farm house, the door of the farm house was also closed from inside.
At the same time, according to sources, this matter has now reached the Congress high command and it is trying to resolve it.
He formed its own party in 2017 Simranjit Singh Bains, who started a political career with the current MP of Sangrur, joined the Akali Dal led by Sukhbir Singh Badal. There were many allegations against him in SAD. A case was also registered against Bains for entering the Tehsildar in the office and assaulting them.
Angered by the Akali Dal not being given election tickets, he left the party. After this, Simarjeet contested from Atma Nagar and Balwinder from Ludhiana assembly seat and won. Bains formed a Lok Insaaf Party in the 2017 assembly elections and tied up with AAP. This time too, both brothers won the election.

After this, on 10 July 2021, he was accused of attempting to rape the woman. After this, the police registered a case and sent him to jail.
