Treatment was going on for 10 days
He was suffering from lung infection and was undergoing treatment for the last 10 days. Former MLA Dinanath Bhagat was complaining of lung infection and earlier he was undergoing treatment at Government Medical College, Jammu. When the condition deteriorated, he was admitted to the hospital in Ludhiana for better treatment, where he breathed his last at around 3:30 am.
BJP MLAs were made from Chenani seat in 2014
Dina Nath Bhagat is left behind by his wife, three sons and two daughters. The rituals of his funeral concluded at Devika Ghat in Udhampur. Bhagat became an MLA on a BJP ticket from Chenani seat in the 2014 Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. However, in November 2020, he resigned as a “anti -Dalit”. He then spent some time with the National Panthers Party and then joined the Congress in January 2022.
