Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday questioned the Election Commission on donations of Rs 4300 crore received by anonymous political parties in Gujarat. He shared the report of Dainik Bhaskar and said that these 10 parties took such a big donation, but showed only 39 lakh rupees.
He wrote on X- There are some unnamed parties in Gujarat, which no one listened to the name but got a donation of ₹ 4300 crore. These parties have contested, or spent on them on very few occasions.

Where did these thousands of crores come from? Who is running them? And where did the money go? Will the Election Commission investigate or ask for affidavit here too? Or will the law change, so that this data can also be hidden?
Rahul Gandhi is currently on a 16 -day ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar. The yatra will cover more than 1,300 km and will end in Patna on 1 September via 20 districts. In the yatra, Congress and RJD leaders have accused the election list of disturbances and ‘vote theft’.

10 anonymous parties get ₹ 4300 crore in 5 years in Gujarat
Political parties registered in Gujarat from 10 anonymous regularly registered ₹ 4300 crore in five years of 2019-20 to 2023-24. Interestingly, these parties fielded only 43 candidates in the three elections held in Gujarat (two Lok Sabha of 2019, 2024 and assembly of 2022) during this period and got a total of 54,069 votes.
This has been revealed by the report submitted to the Election Commission of these parties and their candidates. He said the expenditure in the election report as only ₹ 39.02 lakh, while the audit report has shown the expenditure of ₹ 3500 crore.
Party chief became unaware of Dainik Bhaskar’s question
