Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Chief Raj Thackeray has changed his tone amid controversy over Marathi language in Maharashtra. He advised the workers today that the issue of Marathi language is necessary but do not hate Hindi speakers and avoid unnecessary scuffle with anyone.
Thackeray said that if someone wants to learn Marathi, help him. He insisted on making Maratha an issue with the workers and asked him to take it door-to-door. This advice has come at a time when new cases were constantly coming up against MNS workers regarding language dispute.
Thackeray said that preparations for the metropolitan election should start. Workers land on the ground on local issues and start work on the voters list. He said that after 20 years, when two brothers can come together, why do you fight? The differences have to be forgotten and engaged together. Know what is the language dispute in Maharashtra
- In April, Hindi was made compulsory as the third language for students from 1 to 5th in Maharashtra. This decision was applied to all Marathi and English medium schools in the state.
- The National Education Policy (NEP) The policy of three languages for these classes was implemented in Maharashtra keeping in mind the new Karikulum of 2020.
- Updated guidelines were released after the dispute escalated. Students studying from class 1 to 5 in Marathi and English Medium can choose other Indian languages apart from Hindi as the third language.
- For this, the condition will be that at least 20 students of one class should choose another language other than Hindi. In such a situation, another language teacher will also be appointed in the school. If the number of students choosing second language is less than 20, then that language will be taught through online medium.
