Many couples who wish to travel with wife like Badri Prasad are traveling around the office of Devasthan Department everyday. When someone’s husband’s name came, the wife missed. If the wife was selected somewhere, the husband was left out.
In some cases the disturbance increased so much that the husband’s name came in the list of railway travel and wife’s name in air travel. Now the question is how the husband and wife will be able to separate the religious places.

This year, under the Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme 2025, 50 thousand senior citizens have been targeted to travel by rail and 6 thousand by air. That is, a total of 56 thousand senior citizens have to reach religious places through this scheme.
The online application process continued till 10 August. Of these, more than 1 lakh 84 thousand passengers applied. The selection process was done through lottery. This technical flaw has been clearly revealed only after the name in the lottery.

The couple who applied together, either cut the names in their form, or the photo disappeared, or the data went into different categories. This information was given to the higher officials of the department at the same time.
Strong arrangements were not made in time. Now after the lottery, the problem of thousands of elderly couple is coming out. Many applicants say- We had filled the names of husband and wife together. The system itself separated us when the name came in the list.
Through this scheme of Devasthan Department, free pilgrimage is provided to senior citizens every year.

Due to greed in many places, e-Mitra operators filled the forms of traveling at two different places in the name of the same couple. As a result, only one of the husband and wife came in the lottery and the other remained out.

Case-1 The couple, a resident of Jaipur, said on the condition of anonymity that they had filled the air travel form to go to Kathmandu. Only the husband’s name came in it, while the wife’s name came on a journey to Rameswaram in the first list of the train.
In such a situation, it is difficult for both of them to travel together. The couple showed Bhaskar’s documents related to their journey and said- if they go alone this time, then the two will not be able to go together next time. The reason for this is the rule of the government. The opportunity to travel with Janadhar card is available only once.
Case-2 Kaushalya Devi, a resident of Jaipur Sanganer, has been named in the list from Nepal to Nepal. Her husband Durgadas Sharma’s name was missed. When Dainik Bhaskar reporter spoke to Kaushalya Devi, she said with a sad heart- my husband and I are elderly. Stay sick. I can’t travel alone. If we should be sent with us or else we will stay at home.
Durgadas Sharma said that he had filled the form. Both had names. But the name of one has come. Now I do not understand what to do.

Case-3 65-year-old Gopilal, a resident of Jaisalmer Ramdevra, says- We had filled the same form, in which both of our wife Vindhya (60) wrote the name. The wife’s name came on the main list going on a journey by train. I have not got a name in any list.
It is not possible for the wife to go alone. Even if you send them, the base will be locked for further journey after a journey. Then I will never be able to go. The government should think for us.

Complaints increased, but no solution Dozens of complaints are now reaching the Devasthan Department daily. The problem of the couple being divided into separate list or the name of one and the other is repeated repeatedly. Department officials are accepting technical disturbances. But till now no concrete solution has been found. The department says- lottery process is completely computerized. No officer has a hand in this. Technical disturbances have been done, they are looking for a solution.

So that the problem of the elderly is solved. Also, in cases where both husband and wife have become, but the name has come in different list, appropriate way will also be found.
