The 112nd birth anniversary of former Haryana Deputy Prime Minister Late Chaudhary Devi Lal is being celebrated today. On this occasion, INLD is organizing the Honor Day celebrations in Rohtak, in which the party will show its strength and try to find political land.

The rally has been named ‘Rella’ and people are expected to come from across the state as well as nearby states. Big leaders of INLD will be present in the program, while former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal will also be seen on the stage.
For this program starting at 11 am, 10 major LED screens have been installed for this program, VIP parking, arrangement of coolers and workers.

Special arrangements for rally, 3 big pandals and VIP arrangements
INLD has prepared on a large scale for the honor day rally to be held in Rohtak. Three big pandals have been built at the venue, in which the mattresses have been placed in place of the chairs. In view of the heat, coolers and wings have been arranged in the pandals. Also, 10 major LED screens have been installed to clearly reach the workers sitting far away from the leaders.
- Separate parking for VIP and common people: Special parking has been made behind the stage for VIP guests coming to the rally, so that they can reach the stage directly. Open parking has been arranged near the grain market and pandal for the vehicles of people coming from outside.
- Separate arrangements for women: A portion in the pandal is reserved for women. Along with sitting here, separate arrangements have been made for toilets and drinking water. Similarly, separate pandals and necessary facilities have been provided for media and other guests.
- Seats for VIPs at different places on main stage: The main stage is made of 68 × 48 feet. A small stage has been prepared on top of it, where VIP guests will sit. Other leaders will remain on the rest of the big stage. In addition, special stages have been created for the cameraman from both sides for media coverage.

Story of Devi Lal’s political visit and Deputy Prime Minister The Janata Dal got a majority in the 1989 Lok Sabha elections. At this time there was a big change in the politics of the country. When it came to the turn to decide the name for the post of Prime Minister in Parliament, VP Singh took forward the name of former Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhary Devi Lal. Devi Lal was a very strong leader of Haryana at that time and also agreed to the leaders present in Parliament in his name.
However, Chaudhary Devi Lal refused to become Prime Minister himself, surprising everyone. Instead, he proposed the name of VP Singh. Everyone was impressed by his spirit of sacrifice and VP Singh became the Prime Minister.
The next day, Devi Lal took a historic decision at the swearing -in ceremony. Instead of taking responsibility of a ministry, he was sworn in as the first Deputy Prime Minister of the country. In this way he became the first official Deputy Prime Minister of India.
