According to the police, tourists from outside states were visiting different areas of Kinnaur and were returning to Shimla today. There were more than 15 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident.

Bus was going from Rampur to Shimla

According to the police, the private bus (huge travel) number of HP-63A-1891 was coming from Rampur towards Shimla. The rocks fell on the bus from the hill at around 3 pm in the black soil area near Bithal, about 30 km from Rampur, which fell on the riders sitting inside ripping one side of the bus.

This caused a scream in the bus. Many passengers have suffered serious injuries due to rocks. The driver widely raised the bus at a distance of a few feet from the scene. After this, the passengers were brought down.

Police engaged in rescue with the help of local people

As soon as the information was received, the police and ambulance left the spot. After this, the injured were rushed to Khaneri Hospital in Rampur.

After this accident, Shimla District Police has issued an advisory to postpone the journey on National Highway-05 between Rampur from Rampur. It said that incidents of falling stones and rocks have come to light at many places between Rampur to Kumarasain. This route is not safe for the journey. At the same time, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu expressed condolences on this incident.
