The Supreme Court said this while dismissing a bail plea on Monday. The petitioner is accused of getting the examination from the other in the Uttar Pradesh CTET exam held in December 2024, in the Paper i.e. in the paper.
A bench of Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta mentioned the Hindi film Munnabhai MBBS in this case. In the 2003 film, Sanjay Dutt played Munnabhai, who placed another person in his medical examination.
High court rejected bail plea already done
Earlier, the Allahabad High Court has also rejected the bail plea of the accused. He reached the Supreme Court against the High Court’s decision. The petitioner’s counsel argued that a charge sheet was filed against three people in this case. Two, including the proxy candidate, got bail.
On this, the Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Uttar Pradesh government seeking a reply in four weeks. In the High Court, the petitioner claimed that he was falsely implicated. He was hospitalized on the day of examination. He did not know that someone else sat in the examination.
The High Court rejected the application and said that another person hurts the integrity of the education system by sitting in the examination. It has serious impact on society.

On the complaint of a principal on the petitioner and others, a case was registered under the BNS and Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Inappropriate means) Act. The suspected candidate was reported in the examination held at the school on 15 December 2024. The investigation did not match biometric matching. It was found that in place of petitioner Sandeep Singh Patel, another person was taking the exam using a fake admit card.
