Today is Shri Krishna Janmashtami. Sri Krishna’s birth date will be from sunrise to night. According to the tradition of celebrating fasting on Udaya Tithi, Janmashtami is being celebrated today in Mathura, Vrindavan, Dwarka, Puri and most of the temples.
There is a tradition of celebrating Krishna’s birth anniversary at night, because Shri Krishna was born in the eighth Muhurta of the night. This Muhurta will be from 12 pm to 12.48 pm.
Some people are unable to worship God at night. Due to which Krishna can perform worship at any time during Ashtami Tithi throughout the day.



The method, rules and importance of Shri Krishna Janmashtami fast
Method: Brahma Muhurta to next day Starting from Brahma Muhurta and fasting till sunrise the next day is a law. The next day, after taking a bath and worshiping, the fast is observed by eating offerings to God. That is, the fast is completed. There is no rule for children, old and patients. You can fast in any way with reverence.
Rules: Dry fruits, eat fruits
Food is not eaten during this fast. Only fruits and milk can be taken. Dry fruits can be taken, small amounts or juices according to health and condition. Do not make fruit after Aarti at night, you can drink milk again if needed.
Importance: Troubles are overcome, win
Fasting and fasting is so that the mind, body and thoughts are pure in the worship of God. In the texts, it is called Jayanti fast, it gives happiness and prosperity. It is believed that Ashtami is Jaya Tithi. Fasting on this date wins.
