Terminal-2 of Delhi’s IGI Airport will be reopened to passengers from 26 October. It was temporarily closed in April this year to upgrade. This decision has been taken in view of the flight schedule during the winter fog.

After the upgrade, passengers will get many new and state-of-the-art facilities in Terminal-2. 120 domestic flights will be operated every day from Terminal-2. They are currently being operated from other terminals. Now shifting them to Terminal-2 will also reduce the crowd pressure and make it easier.

This will also reduce the passengers’ departure and time in Arrival. On Terminal-2, passengers will get many modern facilities. The special among them is Self baggage drop (SBD) counter. Now on Terminal-2, passengers will be able to check their goods in their own. This will reduce the problem of getting long lines.

Big changes in security and technology also There have also been major changes in security and technology on Terminal-2. Many important changes have been made during the repair of Terminal-2, mechanical, electrical and safety. New HVAC systems and fire safety systems have been installed. The power system has been strengthened.

High-regulation flight information display system (FIDS) has been installed. Better roads and connectivity will make it easier for passengers to reach and roam the terminal.
