The administration’s action is going on for illegal encroachment in Sambhal. Bulldozers have started running on the mosque and marriage hall on Thursday. The administration teams are first dropping the marriage hall. Then the mosque will be dropped after this. Both are adjacent.
The administration claims that the case is from Raya elderly village. It is about 30 km from Sambhal headquarters. The mosques and marriage halls have been illegally occupied by the pond land.
In view of the case, the entire village has been converted into a cantonment. Police force of several police stations along with PAC jawans has been deployed. The police administration had announced in the village that the villagers should stay in their homes and do not leave.

Earlier on September 13, the Revenue Department team led by Tehsildar Dhirendra Kumar Singh and Naib Tehsildar Deepak Jurail put red marks on mosques and houses built on government land.

According to the police, a meeting was held with the people of the village a day before the action. The mosque was illegally built on 439 sqm government land in Raya Bujurg village of Asmoli police station area.
Complaints of illegal construction were received on the land of the village society, which was confirmed in the departmental investigation. After this, the occupiers were instructed to remove the possession by 20 September.
