The Supreme Court on Wednesday objected to the issuance of refugee cards to migrants in India by the United Nations High Commissioner (UNHCR). Justice Surya Kant said, UNHCR has opened a showroom here and is distributing certificates.
The Supreme Court was listening to an interim protection petition to avoid custody of a person from Sudan living in India since 2013. The person claims that he has a wife and two children, which UNHCR has issued a refugee card. He wants shelter in Australia.
The petitioner’s counsel said- people receiving refugee cards are seen in different ways abroad and Ministry of Human Rights. The process of getting the card lasts for years and is investigated. To this, Justice Kant said that he does not want to comment much on it, but this is a serious matter.

Sudani person’s petition dismissed
Muralidhar said that in the last two months, there is a campaign to take African migrants into custody in the last two months, causing them to fear. For this, he has demanded interim security.
On this, the court dismissed the petition and said that the person should try to go to Australia and he allowed the petitioner to take additional security orders from the National Human Rights Commission.
Interim Protection Petition- Poisted to stop action
The petition for interim protection means seeking temporary security in the court. This main decision is given to provide security to the person or to stop action against him. This can be understood to be a temporary application for immediate safety.
