Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray addressed the Dussehra fair at Shivaji Park in Dadar West on Thursday.
Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday criticized the central government for the arrest of Sonam Wangchuk. At the Dussehra fair in Dadar West, Thackeray said- fighting for rights and justice in the country has now become treason.
Thackeray said- Wangchuk is not a traitor, but he has been accused of treason to attend a program in Pakistan. If Wangchuk can be arrested for this, then what would you say about Modi’s departure to meet Nawaz Sharif?
Former Chief Minister Thackeray said that Wangchuk has a big contribution for the country. He made solar heated tents for army personnel in Ladakh. Developed ice stupa technology for water. Now he started the movement for Ladakh, so the government was not ready to accept.
In fact, Sonam Wangchuk was arrested on 26 September after violent protests demanding state status to Ladakh. He was charged under the Rigorous National Security Act (NSA) and was sent to Jodhpur Central Jail. 4 people were killed in a demonstration on 24 September.
